In honor of Memorial Day, our office will be closed on Monday, May 25th. As we head into the holiday weekend, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their service and dedication helped protect the freedoms we enjoy every day — including the ability to live, work, and grow in communities rooted in agriculture and small-town values. We hope you have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend with family and friends.
At the root of just about every farm is a strong mom. Whether she’s behind the scenes keeping everything running, hauling kids between activities, bringing meals to the field, keeping the books straight, or climbing into the tractor seat herself — farm moms do it all. To all the moms out there helping grow families, farms, and futures… thank you for the long days, the hard work, the sacrifices, and the love you pour into it all. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at KDL!
National Severe Weather Week Reminder As farmers, we know firsthand how much impact severe weather can have. We spend a lot of time planning for and protecting our crops—but this week is also a good reminder to take a moment and think about your family. Do your kids, family members, or anyone staying with you know what to do if severe weather hits? Sometimes it’s those simple conversations and reminders that make all the difference.
